I usually buy Mont Blanc's but in this case, it needs to be under $100. Any suggestions? It needs to be a "fatter" pen like the Mont Blanc Meisterstruck.
It is a Christmas gift, so I do not plan on giving a bag of cheap bics. I am looking for a "nicer" pen.
Thanks for the Tiffany suggestion, but the "fatter" pens are $275 and up.
I keep hearing Mont Blanc is all about fashion, and they're not very good performers. Kind of like the Bose of fountain pens, I guess. Why not go to a stationary shop/newsdealer and ask for advice? I wish I knew what WAS good, but I unfortunately do not. Maybe a Parker? It's a good name, and I remember writing with a vintage one and finding it to work okay. They also sell premium cartridge models.
