I have asked this question before….?

on here. But i only got one answer. It is not a dirty question. Well not in that sense.

I have a Mopnt Blanc pen. It has tarnish on it. How do I get the tarnish of it. And will the pen look like it did when it was new. It is an old mont blanc so I cant buy the same model but I need to get this pen back to its former glory. please help. i think I may have asked this queswtion in the wrong category so I am asking it again in a dif cat. please reply!!!!!

Is it silver? I'd use silver cleaner on it. It depends on what metal it is. Something gentle that would remove the tarnish without scratching the surface. Then polish it up and it should look like new!

No idea if they still do, but WH Smiths used to send pens back to the manufactureres for repairs like this.

      Might be worth a try.

Use a mild silver polish, such as Twinkle. This comes in a soft solution, of pudding like consistency, with a frictionless sponge pad applicator. DO NOT EVER use a home remedy such as toothpaste (abrasive) or one of those drugstore soakers like TarnX… they corrode metal and are hard to completely remove from crevices.
