The best fountain pen I've used.

This is an outstanding fountain pen all around. It writes well, very smoothly, and it looks outstanding too. I'd have to say my handwriting with this fountain pen looks much much better vs. before I got this pen. I've let others I know use it too and again it seemed to make their penmanship look better. If you look closely on the tip you may see just how much detail went into this pen. You get what you compensate for, definitely.

Not a pen, a fine writing instrument.

I have owned three MB Meisterstuck fountain pens, and have applied one since the 1970's. One was stolen; the other two I keep at my desk. There is no substitute for a fountain pen, and a in truth good one like the Mont Blanc is a great investment. Writing in ball point, roller ball and other progressed gimmicks appears lame besides the confident, liquid strokes of a good fountain pen. It surprises me how galore people will concern themselves with the very best in wrist watches and tailoring, and then sign their communication exchange with a dime store ball point. As all fountain pen users know, the longer you use a good fountain pen the better it conforms with your writing style and the smoother your handwriting becomes. This is in particular true of the Mont Blancs whose nibs are like jewellery. Don't lend your pen to anybody else to write with once you've broken it in - it will scratch. They are sensible to the ink you put in them too, and ought to sporadically be refilled with fresh ink (preferably the Mont Blanc brand.) It also helps to flush your pen regarding once a year with a dilute solution of household ammonia in water. With care, your Mont Blanc will last longer than you will and help add pleasure to your penmanship and distinction to your correspondence.

Expensive pen, decent writer, a little over-priced

The 149, with it is huge nib and big ink reserve, is the better writer that Montblanc has to offer. The nib is reasonably smooth out of the box, altho not as smooth as other fountain pens at the similar price point. The factory black ink that comes with the pen is probably the worst I used: poor flow, light grey/brown color, and no water resistance at all. It works much better with Aurora or Pelikan black.

The pen is huge and wide, but somewhat light for it is size. For me, it's much more comfortable to hold equated to the littler sized ones.

The pen is made using"precious resin", which is unquestionably better than plastics on cheap disposable pens. However, it is not as nice as the light weight cotton resin on OMAS, and it feels cheap equated to the fine Lacquer finish of Dupont pens.

I paid regarding $700 for this pen at a retail store. I have purchased much better writers (Dupont, OMAS, Pelikan, Cartier) at the same price point, and all of them proved to be better writer than this MB 149. On the other hand, it's a respectable black fountain pen to fetch into a meeting to impress clients, as most people don't recognise other fine pens.

Overall, this pen is in all probability better suitable as a dress piece as opposed to a writer's pen.

Great refill for Pen MOD

I purchased these refills and modified them to fit in Pilot G2 and Q7 pens. These refills are awesome, no noticeable drag when writing equated to the introductory Pilot pens. Any one marveling if they will have to undertake this MOD ought to and just google for help. All that is required for this mod is cutting the plastic cap end 1/8 off to if in a Pilot pen.

Works beautifully and writes the same.

Writes great but only for short time.

My original refill of the two in the package lasted less than a month before it dried up while the fineliner that was included when I purchased starwalker lasted with regards to 6 months. I'm already on the second cartridge and hoping this will last a little longer than the introductory cartridge.

In my pen, a starwalker, the original ink lasted when it comes to 5 months with regular writing. This refill fits the pen, is not loose or other than as supposed or expected poor quality, and writes like the original did.

Best Pen

The original Bullet Space Pen was conceived in July of 1948. Paul Fisher was soon machining a new pen design shaped from solid aluminum. Perfect for a Contractor

I'm up and down ladders all day long. I'm working in the rain or snow or heat. I was always breaking pens and making a mess or sharpening a pencil each time I necessitated to write.

Then came the Space Pen, the perfective pen, the only writing instrument I'll ever take on the occupation with me again.

The size is perfect. Closed, it comfortably fits in my pocket and never jabs me, never breaks, never leaves a mess. I've been using my space pen for 3 years and it's not given me a bit of problem. It writes anywhere, anytime.

Opened, the cap fits right on the back and it's a full-sized pen, writes well and looks good. I may hand it to a client and they always look like they want to keep it for themselves.

My Honest and down to Earth Review of Fisher Bullet Pen

I've never written a review online before, and I'll in all probability never write one ever again. But this product "shiny chrome Fisher Bullet Space pen" compelled me to write a review for all those who are presently debating whether or not to spend the cash to buy a Fisher Space Pen.

The short answer is Yes, I definetly do commended it! If you are a gadget freak, if you are a 'perfectionist', if you are an engineer, busy-person, doctor, lawyer, soldier, spy, President, or perhaps even astronaut, or merely the intermediate person who needs a pen to carry out each single time without exception, this pen has it is use for you.

I purchased my fisher pen online partly because after reading these reviews it swayed me to be more inclined to 'give this a try'. Today I received my very basi fisher space pen and my introductory impression of it was that it was such a tiny, (and 'tiny' is the rectify word here) pen! I knew the bullet pen wasn't going to be full size, but candidly I had in truth expected something a little bit 'larger' and more substantial than that 'little' thing!

I proceeded to test it out. It writes and writes upside-down for as long as you may write upside-down, which is more than I may say for even the most fanciest of other ball point pens. The assert that fisher pens write upside down and at any angle is 100% utterly true!

I submerged it under a tub of water and it wrote a full page. And I suppose it would have written another page and yet another, as long as the page lasts that long underneath water. Every other pen I tested stopped writing after regarding the primary 5 words.

I smeared vegetable oil over college page and it wrote 'poorly' (I wouldn't commend writing over grease, the words may be made out but it looks in truth bad, jerky,etc) for regarding the firstborn two sentences and then quit on me. So in this sense, I don't think it may write on grease. But it performed significantly better than all other ball point pins I tested, all of which stopped writing after with regards to the introductory 8 characters.

This pen is aweinspiring in each way! It's a little too small, but I guess that comes in handy when traveling and putting it in your pocket all day long without hurting yourself or making you uncomfortable.

So this is my down to Earth review of a pen that went to space. If you may afford it, this pen is one of the best on the world and even in space for it is designed purposes.

It's a lot littler than I thought, but it does write underwater, it is waterproof, and it does write upside down and at any angle.

Definitely worth it

I have been looking for a nice pen to get back into longhand writing for day to day notes and journaling. I was concerned mainly with smoothness and ease of writing. Second was length because I would be carrying it in jeans, dress pants, coat pockets, etc and in dress pants specially a long pen falls out easily.

I've wanted a space pen for a long time just for the fun factor. I hesitated for a long time to buy it because I was worried when it comes to how nicely it would write and how the ink would look. Now that I have it I'm very please and relieved.

It is short sufficient to sit in any pocket. It writes with no problems or difficulties and has a nice feel to it. Like others said, I find myself twiddling with it while sitting around because of the nice weight, length, and heft. I think this is a great pen.

When a journalist needs a bottle

For more than 50 years, beginning before reporters carried tape recorders, I've applied the same Parker fountain pen for the duration of hundreds of newspaper interviews. I without paralysis of thumb and index finger because fountain pens skim all over the surface of notepaper like an Olympic ice skater. My venerable Parker has recorded the words of John F. Kennedy, Billy Graham, a couple of popes and other headline-prone folks. It becomes harder and harder to buy a bottle of fountain pen ink. When I couldn't find any close to home I tried Amazon, and had my ink within 48 hours. It is great ink, and the service is worth writing home about.

After > 30 years of totally blue ink, I took the big step and tried black This ink glides with no problems or difficulties with both my Parker and Waterman pens. Almost gel like. Drys fast, and is genuinely black. Its incisively what I expected. Recommended.

An "old-fashioned" black ink; not for checks

"Permanent" here means only, "not washable by plain water." This ink is ordinary with fountain pen enthusiasts. It is one of the lighter black inks for fountain pens, which some persons get enjoyment from using because it shows "shading" (variation in density) in one's writing. It is not safe for writing checks.

A smooth writer and a great pen!

I use fountain pens everyday, so I know what I am talking about: This is a outstanding fountain pen for each day writing -- one that you will not care gets lost or damaged due to it is very low price (unlike the intermediate (non fixed edition) fountain pens, which may cost over $100 -- and once in a while much more). The Pilot Varsity pen lays down a outstanding fine-to-medium line of ink, and the nib (IE: the writing tip) does not arid out too fast when left uncapped -- and the pen seems to write evermore with it is big internal ink reservoir. Fantastic buy; and with no muss-'n-fuss of having to refill the pen either!

One of a kind fountain pens

Simply put, these pens are amazing. They rival some of the best ball point pens I have ever applied because they have such smooth writing. The thickness of a line is perfective and this pen provides a very consistent amount of ink (not runny). However, I would advise you to store the pen in an upright position (nib pointing up) because the other way makes somewhat more ink to flow through. The ink dries up quickly and does not smear...the colors are very bright as well. Also, I have employed the pen for a while now and the ink has not runned out quickly. These pens are outstanding for those who have pricey fountain pens but do not want to use them all the time. Plus, they get a lot of attention at school. Bottom line, these are great quality and cheap pens.

This is a very inexpensive way to find out what fountain pens are all about. If you are not a newby but don't use FPs any longer, discover improvements made in recent years. Noodlers ink, for example, becomes permanent when it hits the fibers in paper, is water soluable in your pen. So get in there with these outstanding disposable pens!
